What Spray Foam Union Is

Spray Foam Union is a national membership organization for spray polyurethane foam (SPF) installer businesses and technicians. We give members a coordinated voice on industry standards, guidance on certification pathways, a job board, a member directory, and a place to share resources — instead of every SPF business and installer navigating the industry alone.

No. We use "union" in the sense of organizing a trade around a shared voice and shared resources — not as a formal labor union that negotiates collective-bargaining agreements or represents employees against employers in a legal labor-relations sense. Spray Foam Union is a membership association open to both business owners and technicians.

No. Spray Foam Union is a membership association. We don't sell insurance, we're not an insurer, and membership isn't a policy — it's access to advocacy, resources, and a professional network. If you're researching business or liability protection for your company, that's a separate kind of product from a different type of provider.

Other organizations in this space focus heavily on technical standards and manufacturer relationships. Spray Foam Union is built member-first — plain-language guidance, a job board, a member directory, and advocacy shaped directly by the installers and business owners doing the work. We don't issue our own certifications and we're not a compliance-program vendor; we're a place for the trade to organize.

Who Can Join

Both. Individual membership is built for SPF technicians and installers. Business membership is built for SPF installer companies. We also welcome Founding Members of either type while the organization is new.

Yes. Membership isn't limited by company size or years in business. A one-truck operation and a large regional SPF contractor are equally welcome, and both get the same access to advocacy, resources, and network benefits.

Membership & Cost

Advocacy and standards input, certification-pathway guidance, job board access, a member directory listing (for business members), and access to shared resources and the member network. See the Membership page for the full breakdown by tier.

Membership structure and dues are being finalized as the organization launches. Apply through the Join page and we'll follow up directly with current membership details for your tier.

Use the Join page to submit a short application — tell us whether you're joining as an individual or a business, a bit about your role, and how to reach you. We'll follow up by email with next steps.

Certification & Standards

No. We provide plain-language guidance on the certification pathways that already exist across the SPF industry so members know where to start. We don't administer exams or issue certifications ourselves — see the Certification Pathways page for how we frame this.

Members can share jobsite experience and feedback that feeds into our standards & advocacy priorities. Apply for membership and note your interest in advocacy on the application, and we'll follow up about how to get involved.

Job Board & Directory

Job board posting is a business-membership benefit. Once you're a member, you'll be able to submit openings for other members and industry technicians to see.

Business members can request a directory listing searchable by region. This directory is built for other members and industry partners to find and connect with member companies — it isn't a consumer-facing "find a contractor" tool.
